Description
Associate Paralegal
Provides assistance to the legal staff in carrying out the corporate legal mandates by managing day to day flow of documents and information for use in handling legal matters of the corporation.
Essential Functions
- Prepare, investigate and conducts research for new and ongoing legal matters.
- Organize, coordinate, and track all legal files and documents, making them available and easily accessible to attorneys.
- Prepare verbal and written reports to assist attorneys in determining how cases should be processed.
- Prepare relevant information for inclusion in and assists with printing the legal department activity reports, as needed.
- Prepare draft legal documents, pleadings, and memoranda.
- Assist attorneys during trials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent.
Minimum Experience
- Paralegal training and certificate required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong organization, human relation, oral and written communication skills.
Paralegal
Provide assistance to the legal staff through the exercise of professional skill and expertise.
Essential Functions
- Perform legal research, analysis and summary of complex reports for review by an attorney.
- Assist attorneys in planning, organizing, coordinating and tracking programs and projects associated with various legal matters handled in the legal department.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence for review and approval by attorneys.
- Responds to requests for information of other departments and prepares appropriate reports and memoranda.
- Provides timely assistance to the company’s outside counsel as requested.
- Conducts training programs for management and company personnel regarding legal issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Paralegal training and certification required.
Minimum Experience
- One (1) year paralegal experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Legal process and systems.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong organization, human relations, communication and computer skills.
- Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Sr. Paralegal
Provide assistance to the legal staff through the exercise of professional skill and expertise.
Essential Functions
- Perform legal and factual research, prepare analyses, summaries, and review research of others prior to attorney review
- Draft legal documents and correspondence for review and approval by attorneys
- Provide timely responses and documents to requesting departments and outside agencies and assist outside counsel as requested
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings and discovery-related documents; accepts and deliver documents on behalf of the company when presence of an attorney is not required, or with an attorney when appropriate
- Assist in planning, organizing, administering, and tracking programs and projects handled in legal department
- Develop and conduct training programs for mangers and company personnel regarding legal issues
- Work with all departments in the corporation to ensure timely handling and completion of company’s legal activities
- Process and review various legal documents and maintain activity log to assure prompt action by the appropriate corporate department
- Prepare articles pertaining to Legal Department’s activities for publication in company’s internal communication
- Respond to requests for information and advice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Paralegal training and certification required.
Minimum Experience
- Five (5) years paralegal experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of Legal process and systems.
- Advanced research, organization, human relations, communications and computer skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with litigation is considered a plus.
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $33.63/hour - $56.05/hour Colorado Pay Range: $35.49/hour - $53.71/hour New York Pay Range: $35.49/hour - $56.05/hour New York City Pay Range: $44.84/hour - $56.05/hour
Additional Details: This position can be domiciled in Pittsburgh, PA or Memphis, TN. Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.
