Description

To perform billing (debits and credits)in transportation system for assigned or centrally billed transportation accounts. Manage and complete the financial reconciliation of vendor invoices to costs from the transportation system, audit carrier invoices and approve for payment by Accounts Payable.

Review end to end shipment for accuracy and upon verify completion.

Completes intercompany and/or customer billing in timely manner in accordance with company policy for revenue recognition. Generate purchase invoice and/or accrual for all expenses/costs on shipment.

Audit files to ensure service provider invoices coincide with agreed rates with account.

Ensure invoices and file verification process are completed timely and accurately.

Audit amounts billed to customers against the amounts paid to vendors.

Work directly with Reciprocal Service Provider's (RSP) and company offices to ensure agreement of profit & loss (P&L), and payables and receivables.

The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned. This job is specific to Transport & Brokerage.

High school diploma/GED required. 2 years of accounting experience required. General knowledge of accounting, including understanding of debits and credits required along with the ability to read, understand and analyze accounting reports. Required - MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner). Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Organizational Skills. Inter-personal skills. Problem solving Skills. Handle high volume of work. Handle time sensitive work. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Able to work on a team. Interact with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, management of all levels, internal departments.


Preferred Qualifications: CargWise experience/knowledge preferred

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.  The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: 16.79 - 31.86 USD Hourly

Additional Details: Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm
