Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for strategic initiatives and providing guidance through the application of Business Process Engineering (BPE), efficiency reporting and analysis, and analytical techniques for value assessment and sizing for development prioritization as the business owner of new applications and process developments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct business process reviews, process documentation, design, modernization and implementation of tools, systems, KPI’s, and process implementation that enable consistent business performance across key operational domains
2. Conduct process mapping efforts as they relate to business processes, asset planning and gap analysis of existing processes, capabilities, tools, reporting, KPI’s and operational applications.
3. Lead department and cross functional projects with responsibility for analysis of operational cost areas and SME role for operations systems development and implementation including coordinating education needs for end users.
4. Create and maintain a digital catalog of FedEx Freight’s business processes to enable key stakeholders to efficiently identify opportunities and transform those opportunities into value drivers. Maintain and curate the digital catalog as processes are added and/or changed to current business needs.
5. Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve business processes and performance
6. Ensure engineering outputs (tools, measurement, reporting, etc.) fully align to and drive business plan success
7. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
8. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Transportation or related field or equivalent work experience plus five (5) years’ professional experience in applied engineering concepts, technology, and operations
• Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage projects, prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals and respond to day-to-day functional needs
• Experienced with Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems and develop effective and efficient solutions
