Business Strategy Advisor - Narrative
Description
We are looking for a Narrative Strategist with a strong background in a marketing agency to join our team. The ideal candidate will work within a fast-paced model that integrates go-to-market functions and design functions. This role requires a deep understanding of narrative planning, creative development, strategic thinking, and content creation to drive successful narratives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment:
- Make connections among relevant subject matter, ensuring alignment with goals.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of strategic priorities among other subjects to enable strategic threads, ensuring consistent narratives.
- Link narratives to financials in the context of value delivery.
Content Creation and Editing:
- Write and edit content to transform strategy into engaging stories, blending both art and science.
- Collaborate closely to create prototype narratives, refining them as needed with stakeholder groups.
- Appreciate and support the design process, allowing the design team to vividly bring the story to life.
Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our go-to-market and design functions.
- Plan, organize, and develop recommendations grounded in a deep understanding of the business, industry and market trends, consumer behavior, customer segments, and competitive strategy.
- Predict changes in the current market and summarize insights from proprietary and third-party data to create distinctive insights.
Business Analysis:
- Develop and implement complex business analyses, manage business case development, and business-at-risk assessments.
- Develop research methodologies to understand key strategic issues, identify data sources (internal and external), and develop complex opportunity models using statistical and business intelligence (BI) tools.
- Develop strategic frameworks and manage processes to build business scenarios using strategic thinking and decision science analysis.
Strategic Insights:
- Provide a point of view on key strategic issues across major dimensions of the business – commercial, operations, customer segments, technology, etc.
- Engage with leadership teams/key stakeholders on identified priorities supported with clear fact-based recommendations and provide actionable insights to leadership teams to recommend a course of action.
Thought Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide thought leadership to cross-functional teams working on strategic initiatives and act as an internal consultant to senior management.
- Take responsibility to manage external consulting engagements with industry experts and take on coaching and mentoring roles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including narrative planning and creative development, to ensure cohesive and impactful campaigns.
- Utilize insights from market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead and mentor team members to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Manage and oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time and within budget.
- Present strategic plans and campaign results to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
Domicile Information
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative business field or closely related technical specialized field of study.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) years related work experience.
Work experience in functions focused on strategy development, competitive, customer, and industry analysis, market research, analysis of product performance, and support of corporate development/strategic value assessment activities.
Experience of supporting strategic assessments that are transformational in nature.
More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master’s Degree equals two (2) years experience.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $7,094.23/month - $12,533.14/month
