Chief Tech Execution Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides enterprise‑wide leadership and authority for technical execution, operational stability, and service excellence across the full technology lifecycle. Responsible for establishing and sustaining the execution discipline, operating rigor, and command leadership required to reliably deliver complex technology initiatives while maintaining resilient, high‑quality IT services.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide enterprise leadership for technical execution across initiatives, operations, and services, ensuring disciplined delivery and sustained stability.
2. Establish and maintain execution standards, operating rhythms, and readiness criteria for major technology efforts, releases, and changes.
3. Serve as the enterprise authority for IT Service Management (ITSM / ITIL), ensuring effective execution of Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Service Continuity practices.
4. Act as the Major Incident Commander for high‑severity, business‑impacting outages, leading command bridges, decision‑making, and recovery efforts.
5. Provide command leadership for complex technical execution events, including large‑scale changes, migrations, platform transformations, and releases.
6. Define and enforce operational readiness and Go / No‑Go standards, including rollback criteria and risk acceptance.
7. Ensure command‑center and bridge execution models are consistent, repeatable, and effective across the organization.
8. Orchestrate execution across infrastructure, platforms, operations, security, and support teams, resolving cross‑domain dependencies and execution risks.
9. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on execution risk, operational resilience, and technical tradeoffs.
10. Drive continuous improvement in operational maturity, resilience, and execution discipline across the technology organization.
11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $143,100.00 - $275,000.00 per year

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Master’s degree or advanced technical or service management certification preferred (e.g., ITIL Expert/Managing Professional, SRE)
• Ten (10 years of experience in enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, or platform delivery, which eight (8) years’ experience in leading complex technical execution, including major incidents, outages, and high-risk changes.
• Demonstrated experience operating as an Incident Commander, execution lead, or operational command authority.
• Proven success influencing senior leaders on execution risk, operational readiness, and stability decisions.
• Experience operating in large, multi‑domain, highly regulated or mission‑critical environments.
• Deep practical knowledge of ITSM / ITIL processes and real‑world operational execution.
• Strong technical breadth across infrastructure, cloud, platforms, networking, end‑user services, and operations.
• Expertise in incident management, outage response, change safety, release governance, and operational resilience.
• Ability to evaluate technical risk and execution readiness across diverse technology stacks.
• Executive‑level communication and command presence, especially during high‑pressure situations.
• Proven ability to lead without formal authority and influence cross‑functional technical teams.
• Strong decision‑making skills, with the ability to balance speed, risk, and stability.
• Ability to translate complex technical status into clear business impact and decisions.
