CIL Team Leader
Description
Coordinates and guides the workflow of warehouse/crossdock employees and temporary workers. Ensures effective operations and overall acceptability to customer standards. Ensures proper package handing and methods are followed. Participates in inventory cycle and physical inventory accounts. Completes assigned tasks and associated record keeping in an accurate manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Operation of banding, wrapping, packaging, or cleaning equipment.
- Use of PC and/or RF-based computer systems to perform tasks.
- Use of manual or powered pallet jacks, Forklifts/PIT.
- Operation of powered lift trucks and/or floor sweepers when necessary.
- Training of entry level warehouse personnel and temporary workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High School diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years progressive, related 3PL / warehousing experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work in self-directed and team environments.
- Contributes to a safe working environment.
- Must exhibit promptness and attention to detail.
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency regulatory training as required.
- Ability to perform the spill clean-up function within procedural guidelines for regulated materials as required.
- Ability to read and understand operative manuals and work instructions.
- Ability to gain required certifications for equipment, customer mandates, etc.
- Ability to lift or move materials with an average weight up to 50 lbs without aid.
- Ability to sustain prolonged standing, walking, bending and stooping.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Job Conditions
Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This position requires extensive standing and walking.
