Responsible for the completion of defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external standards. Identifies anomalies as they arise and uses judgement based on rules and procedures to resolve. For complex issues, may escalate to senior team members.

Job Description:

As a FedEx Clearance Broker you will work closely with Customs to enable our on-time clearance and delivery. You will ensure checks and processes are completed that result in timely and effective processing of transactions and legal and regulatory compliance. You will work within tight time deadlines in a busy office environment.

Part-time 20.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday – normally between 17:30 and 23:00
 

Key responsibilities

  • Employment divided into two activities: clearance administration at the office and customs processing of parcels in the station/depot
  • Control and processing of documentation, presentation to customs
  • Accurate data entry
  • Processing of customs data with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Sorting, preparing, and scanning documents

The ideal candidate will have

  • Federal Certificate of Capacity or equivalent
  • Proven experience in data entry and processing
  • Safe and fast 10-finger typing
  • Fluent in French and knowledge of English
  • Rigorous, fast and meticulous, Attention to detail within tight time deadlines
  • Punctual and flexible
  • Good physical condition
  • Strong team player
  • Mastery and understanding of computerized systems
