Cloud Engineer Lead
Description
As Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for the deployment, integration, and management of private, public, and/or hybrid cloud platform services supporting the development of complex analytical applications at enterprise scale. In this role the candidate will be demonstrating their networking and security protocol knowledge to ensure safe and scalable environment provisioning while protecting accessibility to data assets residing within. This person will be comfortable developing infrastructure as code using scripts, templates, blueprints, workflows, CI/CD orchestration tools, and other automation technologies in the spirit of speed and consistency. Continuous collaboration will be an important aspect of this role working with a variety of architects and peer engineering teams ensuring deployed services meet the highest levels of scalability, reliability, and performance while balancing security, maintainability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Desired Skills/Responsibilities:
As cloud engineer lead, you will architect, implement, and manage using IAC (Terraform) robust, secure and scalable cloud infrastructures and services including but not limited to (or equivalents):
- VNET, Network Services, Subnets, Express Route, Traffic Manager, Application Gateways,
- Active Directory, IAM roles, RBAC, service principals and key vaults.
- Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Services, APIM
- Kafka, Azure Event Hubs
- Azure monitoring and alerting
- Azure DevOps for gated CI/CD
You will also mentor less senior staff members, conduct code and architecture reviews to ensure code and architectural standards.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Minimum Experience
Five to seven (5 - 7) years’ experience in cloud engineering or related field. Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting. Experience as a leader or a senior member of multi-function project teams. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: US pay range: $113,120 - $141,400
