Pay: $18.50/hour plus $3.00/hour shift differential
Shift: Monday through Thursday 4:00PM to 2:30AM
Location: Hixson Blvd. Lebanon, TN
General Summary
The EMR Technician III role applies to varied job functions within the facility, all requiring similar skill levels, responsibilities, and expectations. This position is responsible for tearing down and replacing parts in systems, as well as troubleshooting, diagnosing, and determining the most cost-effective repair solutions for hardware and software issues across Tablets, Notebooks, Desktops, and Servers. Key job functions may include EG1 GDO (Notebook, Desktop, and Tablet Build), EG3 CFS (L3 EMR, L2 Etching), and EG3 Conus (EMR).
Primary Responsibilities
- Run production in the Burn area as needed.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Diagnose systems and route to EMR for repair as needed.
- Load and unload products efficiently and safely.
- Move and store products using proper equipment; may pick and assemble orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely; may use RF equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and factory vehicles.
- Cross-train teammates in all currently assigned roles.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and damage-free.
- Operate within SOPs and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Participate in physical inventories.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Provide on-the-job training to new teammates.
- Train Burn techs on failure types and routing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area (5S).
- Disposition inventory between recovery grades (retail, wholesale, sort and settle).
- Conduct cosmetic inspections, cleaning, and label placement per guidelines.
- Document repair actions in appropriate systems and logs.
- Determine cost-effective repair paths and update system disposition.
- Perform minor part removal or replacement as needed.
- Operate automated etching machines to apply custom logos.
- Perform cosmetic repairs on Notebooks, Desktops, and LFF systems.
- Use Dell Password Reset utility to unlock BIOS password-protected units.
- Evaluate and determine actions for systems failed in Burn.
- Tear down and replace parts in systems as directed.
- Review etching graphics for defects and notify support teams.
- Plug units into correct cabling and run appropriate software keys.
- Physically install servers into designated cabinets as needed.
- Connect units to network and power for Power On Test monitoring.
- Escalate unresolved issues to technical associates.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0--2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- A+ certification preferred.
- Technical ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems.
- Familiarity with material handling and RF equipment is beneficial.
