Control Room Operator
Description
This is an interview position.
The purpose of this role is to monitor the overall sort process to enable an efficient sort. Loads/builds sort tables to route/divert freight for each sort and monitors, adjusts and stops (when required) the sort flow to meet changing needs of the sort. Tracks inbound planes and trucks to calculate and compile sort data/stats. Coordinates and advises required parties (mangers, leads, maintenances, GTS, market stations, US operations) of sort issues (i.e. late flights, adhoc and or critical shipments, down times, maintenance issues, etc) to efficiently trouble shoot and enable next steps as required. Provides analytics and sort performance data to management enable sort planning.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High school diploma/educational equivalent
Minimum number of years required for entry to this job- 1 year Cargo Handler
In the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English)
Technical Skill Requirements
Solid knowledge of the following:
Basic typing skills: 25 wpm
Computer literacy and proficiency:
- FAMIS
- COSMOS /EOPS

- Factory Talk

- Basic Excel and Microsoft Outlook
