Description

Responsible for providing customs brokerage operational support to customers, compiling and classification of goods, lodging customs entries, performing other customs clearance activities, liaising with relevant government authorities, and completing all related processes and procedures while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards and clearance regulatory requirements. Identifies anomalies as they arise and uses judgement based on rules and procedures to resolve them.

Successful candidate possesses a broker licence, has completed the relevant Customs Broking Diploma, with at least two years' experience in performing customs-related activities within the industry such as compiling and classifying, and has knowledge of Australia customs regulations, import compliance and documentation requirements, biosecurity and international trade operations. Relevant skills include accuracy, attention to detail, planning and organising, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, MS Office skills, and knowledge of CargoWise and ICS systems.
