Cyber Security Advisor
Description
Responsible for ensuring consistent enterprise security, collaborating to fortify security infrastructure, reviewing security policy changes, developing and implementing solutions to mitigate risks, leading incident response, managing technical documentation, researching security threats, and proactively monitoring security infrastructure.
1. Ensure consistent state across the enterprise by supporting business and Service Provider activities encompassing endpoint security, network security, perimeter security, and data security.
2. Lead close collaboration with business and Service Provider representatives to provide both preventative and proactive support, thereby fortifying the security infrastructure.
3. Review requested security policy changes to in-scope security infrastructure, provide recommendations to management for approval and implementation using internal job aids.
4. Develop and implement enterprise security solutions to mitigate information systems risks and vulnerabilities, configuring and analyzing security tools and software.
5. Lead incident response activities as needed, assisting in the prompt resolution and mitigation of security incidents.
6. Manage and review technical and operational documentation of in-scope security systems to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
7. Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures.
8. Assess and monitor in-scope security infrastructure and respond to operational alerts from the monitoring system, proactively identifying potential security issues.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines.
Experience: Five (5) years with a minimum of four (4) years in the following areas: Business continuity and disaster recovery, network forensics, security and risk frameworks, endpoint security, information systems auditing, vendor risk assessment, cyber risk assessment, network intrusion detection / prevention, identity and access management, IT lifecycle management.
