Cyber Security Advisor
Description
Creates cyber-intelligence solutions to prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. Implements and supports technologies deployed across application, network/perimeter, data, endpoint, identity & access, and mobility domains. Develops and implements enterprise security solutions to mitigate information systems risks and vulnerabilities, configuring and analyzing security tools and software. Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Coordinates with IT and end users to minimize disruptions and protect assets. Provides information security recommendations to management in support of business strategies and goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years of experience in a minimum of four (4) of the following areas: Business continuity and disaster recovery, network forensics, security and risk frameworks, endpoint security, information systems auditing, vendor risk assessment, cyber risk assessment, network intrusion detection/prevention, identity and access management, IT lifecycle management. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in a minimum of four (4) of the following areas: Business continuity and disaster recovery, network forensics, security and risk frameworks, endpoint security, information systems auditing, vendor risk assessment, cyber risk assessment, network intrusion detection/prevention, identity and access management, IT lifecycle management in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of experience. Must have experience with the following: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (Windows Endpoint Management) expertise; Managing Microsoft platforms with a global presence; Assess computer platforms and determine risk at time(s) of a security threat; Set standards and configuration policies at a level to best protect the enterprise while allowing the flexibility to allow underlying operating companies to operating differently to achieve needed business functions or to meet various country requirements; Broad knowledge on all related Windows endpoint dependencies to effectively analyze, architect, and implement solutions; Dependencies such as: IP Networks, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Authentication, Microsoft Patch Management, Windows Servicing, Windows Security. *Employer will accept one year directly related work experience in lieu of one year of education* May telecommute from home within commuting distanced to Plano, TX.
