As a Data Analyst in the Commercial Insights & Business Planning (CI&BP) team at FedEx-GMCE CoE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions and visual analytics platforms that drive strategic decision-making across the enterprise.

This role blends technical depth with business understanding — leveraging tools like Power BI, Azure Databricks, and Python to automate reporting, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver high-impact insights to senior leadership. You will collaborate closely with teams across Forecasting, Corporate Strategy, Market Analytics, and Regional Marketing to ensure that data infrastructure, dashboards, and models support FedEx’s strategic and operational priorities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering and visualization, a passion for data storytelling, and the ability to translate analytical outcomes into business actions.

What your main responsibilities are:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of Power BI dashboards and analytics products that provide actionable insights for leadership.

  • Use Python for advanced data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation of recurring analytics processes.

  • Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows on Azure Databricks to support efficient data extraction, transformation, and visualization.

  • Partner with Forecasting, Strategy, and Market Analytics teams to translate analytical requirements into technical solutions.

  • Own the data architecture and model design for business insights delivery, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and performance.

  • Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams to streamline data access, improve data quality, and ensure governance standards are met.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, templates, and best practices for dashboarding, coding, and automation processes.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual data processes, enhance self-service capabilities, and improve analytics delivery speed.

What are we looking for :

Key Skills need for this role:

Experience: Atleast 3 years in data analytics or business intelligence roles, with strong hands-on technical experience

Technical:

  • Power BI (Expert) – data modeling, DAX, Power Query, row-level security, performance optimization

  • SQL (Proficient) – advanced query writing and optimization

  • Python (Proficient) – data analysis, automation, and visualization

  • Azure Databricks (Good to Have) – data wrangling, ETL, SQL/PySpark

Functional:

  • Business performance analytics

  • Data storytelling & visualization for executives

  • Translating business needs into scalable technical solutions

Behavioral:
