Designs and implements advanced processes and analytics associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, and prediction to enable informed business decisions. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying highly technical analysis techniques analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate Sources. Provides insight from initial concept to fully-tested production and communicates results to a broad range of audiences. Effectively uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis. Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making. Mentors less senior staff. Works in cross functional projects and programs. Routinely presents to management.


Essential Functions

About the Team -

In this role, you will work as a business analyst for FedEx business domains, analyzing business and operational data to identify out-of-the-box opportunities, develop actionable insights, and make recommendations to management via understanding of the business model and information available for analysis. You will play a vital role in defining and advancing the organization's strategies and initiatives to deliver value. You will use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision-making. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to present facts to senior leadership that inform strategic initiatives within the business domain.


  • Design and implement advanced data/text mining processes for high-impact analysis.
  • Lead efforts to gain insights into key business problems using statistical techniques on complex data sets.
  • Utilize emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations for senior management.
  • Lead in preparing and presenting key findings and recommendations to executive leadership via executive-level presentation materials.
  • Continuously enhance and share understanding of the business model for data analysis.
  • Serve as a mentor and guide to junior data analysts in performing data, statistical, and quantitative analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent analytical skills: defining metrics to measure business impact.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools and advanced analytics software.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creating executive reports and presentations.
  • Strong executive presence, human relations, networking, and influencing skills.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or finance. 

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) years of experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Superior analytical skills with diverse analytics and statistical software and applications. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proven leadership skills.

 Domicile Information

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. Preference is to be hybrid and to work at a FedEx office location.  

 


Preferred Qualifications:  

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $7,094.23/month - $12,533.14/month
