Design and implement processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis to support informed business decisions. Gain insight into key business and deliverables by examining structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Effectively use current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via the information available for analysis. Learn to use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, to drive decision making.

Data Analyst – Global Pricing Center of Excellence – based in Mumbai, India.
Analysts would be working with multiple stakeholders across globe on execution (implementation,
validation & audit) of revenue management & pricing strategies for Strategic customers of FedEx and
continuously monitoring to maintain revenue quality.
The analyst would be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to understand the pricing
requirements, work on large data set to draw insights from historical data and provide
recommendation, present & create visibility for effective decision making. The analyst would also be
working with the analytics team to build proper reporting tools and dashboards, provide
recommendations to the management on process improvement opportunities, work with the
concerned team to transform the process and improve the customer experience.
Communicates results to a broad range of audiences. Effectively uses current and emerging
technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to
management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis..
The key responsibilities of this role are;
1) Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to implement business rules
2) Assist in developing data-driven strategies and recommendations for business decisions.
3) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
4) Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and analytics processes.
5) Ensure aligning with regions for timely, accurate, quality checked setup of discounts and pricing
transition to FedEx Pricing systems and relevant tools
6) Transform, optimize Pricing processes for improved efficiency, reduced turnaround times and
human intervention through process automation
To accomplish these goals as a Data analyst, you will
1) Collaboratively work with Pricing, Sales, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and IT teams globally (US
and regions) to ensure timely, accurate setup of Pricing (discounts and rates)
2) Be setting up Pricing for all FedEx customers using FedEx Proprietary Pricing platforms, tools,
and processes, by being hands-on
3) Be process and workflow oriented – you will gain extensive working knowledge of FedEx pricing
processes, relevant tools and systems.
4) Drive pricing process transformation initiatives and work collaboratively with IT automation
analysts to accomplish and launch process transformation solutions globally
5) Preferably / Might need to work the same hours as the US Central Time Zone; or at least have
a 50% to 60% overlap in working hours with the US Central Time Zone
Key skills needed for this role;
1) Story telling/presenting with data insights and actionable recommendation
2) Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail, in order to deliver accurate results and actionable
recommendation
3) Provides thought leadership and dependable execution on diverse projects
4) Collaborate effectively (Stakeholder Management) with team members across different regions
to achieve common goals, effective communication skills to communicate with people across
all levels including senior management
5) Good exposure to commercial aspects of business, process management/transformation,
developing analytical solutions to business problems, reporting, creating business
case\presentations for executive leadership
6) Business process oriented, workflows preferably in domains such as Finance, Banking,
Insurance, IT consulting for businesses. Should have setup and documented policies and
procedures, internal controls\compliance mechanism for quality checked deliverables
7) Good understanding on pricing models/systems, revenue & cost structures, contribution &
operating margins and P&L views; develop & enhance pricing models. Provide pricing
recommendations to the commercial organization with supporting analysis
8) Process transformation experience for improved efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and
improving process turnaround times through automation. Liaison between Business (Pricing
analysts) and IT automation analysts in effectively translating process efficiency requirements
to tangible software requirements
Qualification:
1. Education – MBA/Masters in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative
discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics & statistics
2. Tools – Must have proficiency in SQL, SAS and Power BI
a. Data querying for data extraction and manipulation
b. Data processing and analysis
c. Provide business insights & recommendation through visualization

o Programming experience - Python
o Expert in SQL; Experience in using RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata
o Proficient in Data Visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
o Good to have: Knowledge of Azure Databricks
