Data Analyst - Lead
Description
Responsible for leading data analysis to extract actionable insights, exploring datasets to uncover patterns and anomalies, analyzing historical data for trend identification and forecasting, investigating data discrepancies, providing user and team member training and support on data analysis tools, communicating findings through compelling visualizations, leading data projects, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

What your main responsibilities are:
Executive Partnership: Act as a primary analytical consultant for global leadership, grasping complex business problems and turning them into actionable insights.
Deep-Dive Analysis: Move beyond surface-level reporting to uncover the "why" behind global logistics trends, operational efficiencies, and market shifts.
Technical Excellence: Architect robust data queries (SQL) and build sophisticated visualization suites (Power BI) that provide a 360-degree view of the business.
Predictive Modeling: Apply Machine Learning and Data Science methodologies to forecast trends and optimize global workflows.
Advanced Storytelling: Design and deliver high-impact presentations that simplify complex ML/DS concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Lead cross functional projects and programs formally preparing and presenting to management.
Routinely work on multiple highly complex assignments concurrently.
Provides consultation to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis.

Identifies available data, including internal and external data sources, works with internal and external subject matter experts to select the relevant sources of information.

Identifies latest technological advances that accelerate the data analytics of the enterprise.
Statistical Analysis & Evaluation
Provides analytics expertise to solve in depth and technical problems. Develops design approaches to validate finding(s) or test hypotheses.
Identifies/creates the appropriate algorithms to discover patterns, trends and clusters in related or unrelated variables.
Gathers relevant information, identifies relationships, deduces from cause to effect, and draws logical conclusions to drive business decisions.
Works in iterative processes with the customer/business partner and validates findings.
Presentation/Strategic Recommendations
Presenting senior executives with strong storytelling capability to drive insights out of data.
Helps the business understand the data behind their results to gain stakeholder buy-in.
Provides thought leadership and dependable execution on diverse projects.
Leads discovery process with stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcome.
Presents/frames business scenarios in ways that are meaningful and depicts their findings in easy-to-understand terms.
Qualifications & Specifications
8+ years of relevant experience in analytics/consulting/informatics and statistics
Key Skills - Data and Business Analytics, Advanced Statistics and Predictive Modelling, Stakeholder Management, Project Management
Experience in product analytics, marketing analytics etc. is a plus.
Exposure to predictive analytics, ML/ AI techniques is an added advantage.
Education – MBA or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering from tier 1/2 institutes
Tools - SQL, Python, Databricks, Data Visualization, PowerBI
Good to have but not mandatory:
Data Science: Experience with Machine Learning (Regression, Clustering, NLP) and statistical modeling.
Generative AI: Familiarity with LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) and Prompt Engineering to automate insight generation, synthesize large-scale qualitative data, or enhance internal analytical workflows.

Education: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar discipline. Master's degree or PhD preferred.
