Description

The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, optimising, and managing an Enterprise Data Warehouse, reporting, Business Intelligence, and Analytics platform from various data sources. This role will support both internal and external data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Optimize and maintain the data warehouse to ensure high performance and reliability.
Develop and implement data models, database designs, and data integration strategies.
Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Ensure data quality, integrity security, data governance across all data platforms.
Create and maintain documentation related to data architecture, data flows, and data models.
Provide technical guidance and support to the data engineering team.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and data engineering.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
Strong experience with ETL tools and processes.
Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration.
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to have (additional skills) :

Experience working on Abinitio ETL tool, Data IQ.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Oracle Cloud).
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, Qlikview, Spotfire).
