Job Description
Provides leadership in the design solutions, implementation, and maintenance of databases. Performs root cause analysis, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of multiple, large development projects. Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Serves as team lead liaison between business customers, development and support groups. Coaches the development of less senior DBAs. Ensures deliverables
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience. The position requires experience with: Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage Database Optimization and Performance Tuning. Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage SQL (for Applications/Reporting). Advanced (Shell/PowerShell/Python) Scripting for Automation. Advanced Data Security and Compliance. Advanced Database Management. Advanced Cloud Data Platform Design/Development. Advanced Data Engineering. Advanced Analytics/Reporting Design/Development. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Position can telecommute from home from any location in the U.S. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education. *
