Beschreibung
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead a team focused on developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with both new and existing customers in the ocean freight and logistics industry. This role is crucial in recruiting, selecting, and training high-quality sales representatives with a background in ocean sales.
As the Sales Manager, you will oversee customer accounts, develop solutions tailored to meet customer needs, and drive sales and profits. You will identify opportunities for account growth while offering a wide range of value-added services. Additionally, you will monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition and identify new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performance sales team to achieve revenue and volume targets.
- Drive the growth of ocean and freight forwarding solutions for the company by developing strategic partnerships with key customers.
- Establish and execute sales strategies for ocean and freight businesses globally.
- Prospect target customers through proactive networking and leveraging existing relationships within the broader FedEx enterprise.
- Ensure the attainment of revenue and margin goals for assigned accounts.
- Develop comprehensive business plans for each customer account, addressing sales growth activities and competitive pricing strategies.
- Collaborate across functional areas to develop solutions, proposals, and pricing models.
- Engage with senior-level customers to assess satisfaction, manage at-risk accounts, and proactively address customer needs.
- Oversee the proposal and presentation process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all necessary documents.
- Provide weekly reporting on new business development and customer accounts in various stages of the sales cycle.
- Lead the team with energy and passion, ensuring a professional and engaging sales process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) and 8-10 years of experience in ocean and freight forward sales.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in leading a sales team.
- Experience selling to C-Suite Executives is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with logistics processes, solutions, and project management.
- Strong understanding of the ocean freight import process, from issuance to final delivery.
- Demonstrated success in selling global solutions to customers of varying size and complexity.
- Ability to plan and execute sales strategies to meet major account goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective customer and employee relationships.
- Strategic planning and sales management experience.
