Work with cross-functional & cross-regional teams for data analysis, monitoring and forecasting, creating the logic for and implementing strategies, providing requirements to data scientists and technology teams on attribute, model and platform requirements, and communicating with global stakeholders to ensure we deliver the best possible customer experience.

What you will do
Work on advanced analytical initiatives through data analysis, ML model development, and insights to enable informed business decisions. Work with cross functional teams to examine structured and unstructured data to provide insights and develop high-quality solutions. Effectively shares best practices and fosters knowledge sharing across teams. Communicates effectively with global stakeholders, provides data-driven insights and recommendations on complex problem statements.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally to analyze FedEx and competitor air/surface network. Generate actionable insights for leadership review
- Conduct statistical analysis and create predictive models based on historical data. Build and improve machine learning models used in production and manage existing models
- Research and explore impacts of network changes to customer experience, operations, revenue. Work in a team to develop relevant recommendations to aid decision making
- Stay current on the latest in ensemble ML modeling, advanced statistical techniques, use of database tools and/or other approaches in quantitative analysis of complex business situations
- Take ownership of problem statement, work actively with seniors team members to design solution delivery
- Research and implement best practices to improve the existing decision science infrastructure

Qualifications & Specifications
- Relevant experience in network planning, route planning and optimization from logistics, airline or ecommerce industries
- Education – MBA/Masters in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics & statistics from tier 1/2 institutes
- Good to have – data visualization (PowerBi, spotfire, etc.), ETL experience, NLP, text analytics, AI or deep learning
