This job is in the Digital Marketing department. Serves as a strategic partner in shaping product direction through deep customer understanding. Leads high impact studies, sets research direction across product areas, and helps raise the bar for insights, rigor, and customer empathy.
Essential Functions
- Leads strategic research that influences long-term roadmap and vision.
- Scopes and executes complex mixed-methods studies across journeys or segments.
- Drives stakeholder alignment and champion the voice of the customer.
- Supports prioritization decisions through data-driven insights.
- Mentors junior researchers and improve team maturity and visibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Details
- Help establish and evolve Research Operations practices, driving alignment across teams, processes, and stakeholders.
- Design and scale a centralized research knowledge management ecosystem for insight discovery and reuse.
- Socialize and evangelize research outputs, being an advocate for insight-driven decision-making and increased research adoption.
- Implement AI-enabled capabilities to improve insight discovery and consumption.
- Support participant management operations, including recruitment workflows and vendor coordination.
- Maintain and improve standard dashboards for data democratization.
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Product, Engineering, and Legal to improve research efficiency and impact.
- Establish governance standards to ensure research quality, privacy, technical standards, and compliance.
- Provide support for international research, including translations, survey wording consistency with cultural considerations, international legal approvals.
- Evaluate and optimize research tools to support end-to-end workflows.
- Enable research best practices through templates, guidance, and training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Research Ops (5+ years).
- Qualtrics experience.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. In lieu of a degree, eight (8) years of practical experience may offset education requirements.
Minimum Experience
Four (4) years of research experience in product or UX teams. Experience leading customer segmentation, journey mapping, or behavioral modeling.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with impact measurement or product-market fit validation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive clarity in ambiguous or high-stakes situations.
- Expertise in research planning, facilitation, synthesis, and communication.
Job Conditions
Some business travel may be required.
Domicile
This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.
