Job Summary:

The {IT Domain Architect/ DevOps Architect} will lead the design, development, and implementation of DevOps practices and infrastructure. This role involves working closely with software development, IT operations, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and scalable software delivery processes. The DevOps Architect will also be responsible for the automation of all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the maintenance of high availability, scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Architecture:

Lead the adoption of DevOps practices across the organization and promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Establish a robust DevOps framework & architecture with a focus on long-term strategy & accelerated adoption
Oversee the creation s of scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that integrate development, testing, and deployment processes.
Evaluate and select appropriate DevOps tools and technologies that align with organization’s strategy & technical runway
Provide technical guidance to Application Development teams, QA & IT operations to implement & promote best DevOps Practices
Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into the DevOps strategy

2. Automation and CI/CD:

Automation to reduce time to market, faster release cycles & delivery of new features
Implementing automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) to streamline software development and deployment processes
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment
Ensure automated testing(CT) is integrated into the CI/CD pipelines for improved quality

3. Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and IT operations to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Communicate technical concepts and DevOps best practices to stakeholders.

4. Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and management of cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of systems.
Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup plans.

5. Security and Compliance:

Incorporate security best practices into the DevOps processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to security incidents.

6. Performance& Cost Optimization:

Optimize resource utilization to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Recommend technical implementations & automation to reduce manual tasks

Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, software development and/or systems administration
- Proven experience as a DevOps Architect or in a similar senior technical role.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Strong & extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, Azure, GCP)

-Experienced in implementing & maintaining complex containerized environment

Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
