Description

Responsible for the accurate submission of drawback claims. Submits prior notice drawback entries to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for the refund of duties. Reviews pertinent documents for the preparation and submission of drawback claims, while complying with CBP and other government regulations.

Responsible for the accurate submission of drawback claims. Submits drawback claims in strict accordance with CBP laws and regulations. Files drawback entries for the refund of duties by preparing and submitting drawback entries to CBP. Maintains established claim processing schedule. Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction by interacting daily with drawback clients, providing information and support on their claims and maintaining their accounts. Communicates to the client their responsibilities as claimants about the type of records to maintain, who is responsible to maintain the information, and the record retention period. Inform clients of necessary documentation for completion of a claim. Provides drawback status report to clients. Inform clients of their responsibility, as it pertains to prior notice laws and regulations, to avoid the possibility of action against the client by CBP. Reviews and prepares documentation for presentation to data entry staff.         

High school diploma/GED.  Three (3) years experience in customs brokerage. Knowledge of CBP rules, regulations, and tariff schedule.  Knowledge of import and export transactions: role of the broker and freight forwarder and the documents pertinent to each transaction.  Excellent communication skills needed to inform clients regarding their responsibilities in maintaining a drawback program.  Demonstrated organizational skills to maintain claim filing schedule.  Ability to prioritize workload to maximize revenue and satisfy client expectations.  Math skills - ability to prorate, add, subtract, and multiply.

Preferred Qualifications: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Hybrid - Remote role with work-from-home and in-office options based on company policy.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current. Starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. Permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $15.50 - $31.18
