We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Sort Technology team as a Project Engineer.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and support the implementation of operating models for sort technology
  • Lead and/or support projects with multiple stakeholders and multiple systems involved
  • Design and implementation of new systems and support existing systems to meet business growth and changing business requirements.
  • Ensure that system problems are identified, explored and resolved.
  • Handle relationships during projects/deployments with multiple stakeholders and across EU countries.
  • Handle reporting on projects and activities with ease and to any involved levels of the organization, including leadership of FedEx EU.
  • Being accurate in creating and maintaining system documentation.
  • Bringing new techniques and technologies into the team
  • Challenge the status quo





What do you bring with you:
 

  • Up to 5 years of work experience.
  • Mechanical systems engineering including knowledge on system controls such as PLCs and iPC based machine controls.
  • Must be able to manage complex mechanical system implementations, including work with other teams involved such as IT and Operations.
  • Must be able to manage multiple handshake points between sort technology vendors and     various FedEx entities involved in projects
  • Exceptional in teamwork.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
  • Start-up mindset focused on the growth of our company.
  • Experience of developing and implementing solutions for complex situations.
  • Good knowledge of the problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Understanding of modern tools and techniques such as Cloud Computing, Agile.
  • Understanding of the importance of Information security.
  • A driven individual with the ability to demonstrate pro-activeness
  • Have experience with system monitoring tools such as SCADA visualizations.
  • Understand and focus on business outcome
  • Above all, are eager to grow and develop yourself, and your knowledge further
  • Professional proficiency of spoken and written English is a must.
  • Mastery of other EU language(s) is a plus
