Sommaire
Conseiller, planifier, développer et concevoir des plans d'ingénierie ou opérationnels de district pour optimiser l'efficacité des objectifs commerciaux.
Tirer parti de la connaissance opérationnelle de diverses installations, de leurs processus d'ingénierie spécifiques et de leur connaissance pratique des systèmes opérationnels.
Collaborer avec les gestionnaires pour surveiller le respect des plans, déterminer la cause profonde des lacunes, élaborer des mesures et aider la direction à les mettre en œuvre, et soutenir les efforts de conformité et de formation qu'ils identifient dans le district.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Advises, plans, develops, and designs District engineering/operational plans to optimize efficiencies in business objectives. Leverages operational knowledge of various facilities, their specific engineering processes, and working knowledge of operational systems. Collaborates with Managers to monitor adherence to plans, determine root cause of deficiencies, develop and assist management in implementation of action and support compliance and training efforts that they identify in the District.

Conseiller et faciliter la connaissance de l'équipe et l'application optimale des systèmes opérationnels de quai (tels que Vision, Systèmes de tri – ISS et ISSC), et identifier et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives.
Créer des plans d'alignement du réseau.
Déterminer la planification de la capacité pour assurer la pleine utilisation des installations.
Préparer des projections de volume à court terme, à l'avenir et à long terme.
Superviser les changements de district (essaimages, expansions, déménagements).
Prévoir les besoins en main-d'œuvre et en personnel du projet pour le présent et l'avenir.
Évaluer les heures limites du centre de tri ou du transport routier pour déterminer si elles répondent aux exigences.
Développer des normes pour réduire les heures de travail au besoin.
Produire des plans opérationnels mensuels pour déterminer les ressources nécessaires, en mettant l'accent sur la planification de pointe.
Établir des objectifs et un budget (productivité, service et coûts) afin de transformer les pertes d'efficacité en économies de coûts.
Fournir des recommandations de projet de manutention, y compris l'analyse financière, pour justifier l'expansion des installations.
Tracer des plans d'urgence pour les événements anormaux potentiels.
Agir comme expert sur tous les processus et mises à niveau opérationnels, de systèmes ou de technologies.
Identifier les lacunes éventuelles dans le respect des indices de qualité des services (SQI) en ce qui concerne la saisie au scanner, le ramassage, la livraison, les pertes et les dommages.
Former la direction sur les processus et les procédures opérationnelles.
Accomplir toutes les autres tâches qui lui sont attribuées.
Scolarité minimum
Diplôme universitaire de premier cycle en transport, logistique, sciences, technologie, ingénierie ou mathématiques requis. OU,
Quatre (4) années d’expérience supplémentaires dans les domaines ci-dessous + expérience minimale requise avec un diplôme d’études secondaires ou une formation générale ou un diplôme universitaire de premier cycle non apparenté.
Avoir de l'expérience dans les domaines suivants :
L'industrie du transport dans un rôle pertinent de gestion des opérations OU L'expérience en génie industriel dans n'importe quel domaine.
Expérience minimum
Avoir au moins 7 ans d'expérience en génie industriel ou pertinent, en personnel de district ou en tant que spécialiste en génie OU,
Au moins 2 ans d'expérience en tant que directeur principal de niveau 2
COMPÉTENCES
Compétences logicielles, y compris l'utilisation de logiciels Microsoft Office et d'applications Web.
Connaissance pratique de Business Objects.
Compétences en communication verbale et écrite nécessaires pour expliquer des informations complexes et/ou confidentielles.
Compétences en présentation nécessaires pour faciliter la formation et/ou animer des séances d'information en groupe et/ou individuellement.
Aptitudes de gestion du temps et compétences organisationnelles nécessaires pour gérer plusieurs projets, prioriser adéquatement la charge de travail, planifier les ressources pour respecter les échéances et les objectifs et répondre aux besoins fonctionnels quotidiens.
Anticiper et identifier les problèmes, et utiliser un jugement éclairé et une analyse basée sur les faits pour développer des solutions efficaces et efficientes.

Voyager jusqu'à 75 % du temps.
Connaître les concepts de manutention, de conception assistée par ordinateur et d'objets métier, de préférence.

Essential Functions
Acts as a change agent throughout the District in order to influence and steer management decisions to ensure alignment and optimization of engineering and operational plans .
Identifies facility inefficiencies through root cause analysis by conducting facility visit observations and leveraging operational knowledge for solutions to deliver on-site assistance for improvements.
Advises and facilitates team knowledge and optimal application of dock operational systems (such as Vision, Sortation Systems – ISS & ISSC) and identifies and solves for corrective actions.
Creates Network Alignment Plans.
Determines Capacity Planning to ensure full use of facilities.
Prepares Volume Projections for short term/future/long range.
Oversees District Changes (spin offs, expansions, relocations).
Forecasts labor and project manning needs for current/future.
Evaluates Hub/Linehaul cut times to determine if they are meeting requirements.
Develops Labor Standards to minimize labor hours as needed.
Produces monthly operational plans to determine required resources needed with special focus on Peak planning.
Responsible for goal/budget setting (productivity, service and cost) to turn cost inefficiencies into cost savings.
Provides material handling project recommendations, including financial analysis, to justify facility expansions.
Constructs contingency plans for potential abnormal events.
Acts as a subject-matter expert on all operational/system/technology processes and upgrades.
Identifies possible gaps in adherence to SQI metrics as it pertains to scanning, pickup, delivery, loss, and damage.
Trains management on operational processes and procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math required. OR,
An equivalency of four (4) additional years’ experience in the areas below + minimum required experience with a high school diploma/GED or unrelated Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in the following areas include:
The transportation industry in a relevant operations management role OR, Industrial Engineering experience in any field.
Minimum Experience
7+ years of industrial or relevant engineering/district staff/Engineering Specialist experience required OR,
2 years or more Sr Manager Level 2 experience
