Enterprise Architect
Description
Essential Functions
- Lead FedEx's most critical strategic initiatives to turn Enterprise strategy into actionable work through decomposition.
- Lead strategic consultation efforts for leadership by identifying paths forward for complex problems and providing decision support.
- Translate business needs into architectural solutions (current and target state) through the application of information technology.
- Document architecture decisions and broker alignment across stakeholders.
- Determine architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability and security needs.
- Align designs to preferred future state styles, patterns, frameworks, tooling, and platforms.
- Contribute to a domain's preferred future state (baseline and target architectures, vision, principles, guidelines, roadmaps, application transition plans).
- Contribute to the establishment of reference architectures through the research and introduction of new technologies.
- Provide governance and oversight across initiatives to ensure that architectural designs are in alignment with preferred future state.
- Review, triage, and classify Enterprise demand.
- Coach the development of Enterprise, Domain, and Solution Architects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong lateral leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- TOGAF Certification is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Sortation or Clearance processes is a plus, but not required
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal training.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to apply basic computer concepts, theories, principles and methods to projects, business problems, issues, and/or questions.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $9,208.38/month - $16,575.08/month
