The Payroll Specialist supports end-to-end payroll processing activities across multiple regions, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with applicable regulations, and timely execution of payroll processes. This role focuses on payroll calculations, validations, and data integrity while partnering with team members to ensure overall payroll accuracy and consistency.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and review payroll data inputs, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
Perform payroll calculations, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
Validate payroll transactions and identify discrepancies before payroll execution.
Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations and internal policies.
Generate and review payroll reports to support reconciliations and financial accuracy.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and variances.
Support payroll audits through proper documentation and data traceability.
Collaborate with HR, Accounting, Tax, and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll inputs.
Maintain organized payroll records in accordance with compliance requirements.
Contribute to process documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
2–3 years of experience in payroll, finance, HR, or related areas.
Experience supporting payroll processes and working with payroll data preferred.
Intermediate English preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret payroll data.
High attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll information.
Effective organizational and time management skills in high-volume environments.
Working knowledge of payroll processes and compliance requirements.
Ability to identify discrepancies and support issue resolution.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions and regions.
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) is preferred.
Ability to follow established processes and contribute to improvements.
High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
