Fellow Product Operations Manager
Description
The Fellow Product Operations Manager is a high-impact, executive-level individual contributor responsible for setting the future vision of product operations. You are a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a force multiplier for the entire organization. You lead the design, rollout, and refinement of operating models, governance frameworks, and cross-functional rituals that improve velocity, alignment, and quality across product, engineering, and commercialization. Fellows are often deployed against the most complex, politically sensitive, or cross-cutting problems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and scale the product operating model across business units, portfolios, or global teams
- Serve as an advisor to VPs and SVPs on delivery health, prioritization, and team performance
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives (e.g., replatforming, migration governance, OKR frameworks)
- Define and refine core operating cadences including intake, planning, readiness, and release governance
- Identify patterns of dysfunction across teams or orgs and implement sustainable solutions
- Own tooling strategy and operational standards (e.g., Jira/ADO configurations, Planview usage, metrics dashboards)
- Partner with product, engineering, design, and go-to-market leadership to unify planning and execution
- Coach directors and principal-level peers; act as a culture carrier for operational excellence
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. In lieu of degree, 10+ years of practical experience may offset education requirements
Minimum Experience
- 6 years of experience in product operations, enterprise program leadership, or digital transformation
- Experience in scaled digital organizations (e.g., SaaS, eCommerce, platform modernization)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep expertise in Agile/SAFe, enterprise tooling, product lifecycle management, and executive operations
- Strong executive presence with experience influencing VPs and C-level stakeholders
- Track record of driving org-wide change with measurable impact on delivery speed, quality, or strategic clarity
- Exceptional systems thinking and communication skills
- Proven ability to create and implement frameworks that scale across 10+ teams
- Background in business operations, transformation consulting, or portfolio governance is a plus
Preferred Qualifications: Experience standing up Product Operations functions in large, matrixed organizations. Strong understanding of digital transformation at scale, including change management & stakeholder alignment. Familiarity with product development frameworks (e.g., Agile, SAFe, OKRs) & how to operationalize them. Proven ability to build and scale playbooks, operating models, or process frameworks from scratch. Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $12,476.52/month - $22,873.62/month
Additional Details: This position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
