Description

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate tax accounting, compliance, reporting, and filing activities in accordance with local tax regulations and corporate policies. This role supports tax provisioning, indirect tax compliance, tax audits and process improvements while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Legal and external advisors to ensure tax obligations are met effectively and efficiently.

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare and review direct and indirect tax returns, including Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Foreign Contractor Withholding Tax and other applicable taxes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax filings and payments
  • Maintain tax calendars and monitor compliance deadlines
  • Reconcile tax accounts and investigate discrepancies

Tax Accounting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards (USGAAP, Vietnam Generally Accounting Standard (VAS)
  • Review tax balances and ensure accurate reflection in financial statements
  • Assist in deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures
  • Assist in evaluating tax risks and opportunities

Audit and Tax Authority Support

  • Coordinate responses to tax authority inquiries, audits and assessments
  • Prepare supporting documentation for tax audits and inspections
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants regarding tax matters

Regulatory Monitoring

  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess potential impacts to the business
  • Communicate relevant tax updates to finance and business stakeholders
  • Assist in implementing new tax requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Any other tax matters, including but not limited to corporate income tax and indirect tax. 

Education: Bachelor or Higher degree in Finance & Accounting
Accreditation: ACCA / CPA qualification preferrable
Language: Proficiency in English
Experience: 5-8 years of related work experience
