Financial Analyst
Description
To develop financial information and provide guidance and decision support to management through financial reporting and analysis, and to use, develop and maintain financial systems and reports.
Compile, analyze, and evaluate financial data and distribute reports and supporting information on topics such as monthly operational performance, productivity, staffing trends, variances, cash management, revenue, expense, and capital. Present information to management. Prepare and input financial activity into the general ledger and other financial systems, including standard monthly entries and monthly close. Ensure accuracy of financial information and maintain supporting work papers. Perform work related to journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, eliminations, financial statements, tax, capital, leases, asset management, a/p, audits, testing, and other areas as assigned. Analyze and evaluate data from financial and operational systems to support management decision making and company projects and initiatives. Effectively summarize and present information. Assist in producing forecasts, business plans, and long range plans. Participate in special projects driven by current company needs or business conditions. Review financial data, plans, and reports for completeness and accuracy, and ensure timeliness of completion. Keep abreast of changes in standards and procedures. Communicate and adhere to company financial policies. Use, develop, and maintain information systems, software, financial models and reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative/anylytical discipline. MBA or cpa preferred. Two years professional experience in financial analysis, financial planning, reporting, business consulting, project management, information systems, accounting, audit, or operational analysis. Self motivated, independent and strong attention to accuracy and detail. Strong analytical, interpersonal, financial and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications: This is role variable remote, with some work from home opportunity and some in the office work, dependent on company policy. Any in office work will report to our Tonawanda, NY facility.
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: $4,166.67 - $8,116.83 USD Monthly
