What you’ll be working on 

The Fleet Allocator role is working in a fast-paced team environment within the Sameday Local Courier operation. You will be responsible for ensuring a high level of service to our customers urgent Sameday courier services by efficiently managing and allocating jobs to the fleet of drivers. 

  • Work within a Sameday Radio Room, being our first point of contact for our professional couriers  
  • Allocate Local courier jobs to Sameday couriers in an efficient, effective manner to meet service delivery times 
  • Plan & prioritise jobs in a fast-paced environment 
  • Apply knowledge of transport dispatch, freight management, and GPS Tracking systems 
  • Assist with collation of data for recording and achieving KPI’s (Service Quality) 
  • Communicate effectively with other allocators & quality control staff to ensure efficient job allocation 

What you’ll bring to the team 

  • High level of geographic knowledge of Brisbane Airport 
  • Excellent persuasive skills/negation skills in dealing with driver queries. 
  • Ability to understand drivers’ strengths and abilities in undertaking urgent time critical deliveries 
  • General understanding of COR and Dangerous Goods polices 
  • Strong relationship management with drivers and customers 
  • Reliability with a can-do attitude and the willingness to go above and beyond for the customer  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
