We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor based within our Cologne workshop.

What you will be doing:
 

As a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of both Cologne and Frankfurt workshops.

You will ensure that all GSE equipment is maintained to the highest standards and is legally compliant.

Reporting to the District Vehicle Planning & GSE Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable for: 

  • Cologne and Frankfurt Workshops Health & Safety and regulatory compliance

  • Planning and completion of maintenance for FedEx GSE assets

  • Planning and management of spare parts stock to enable timely repair and excellent equipment availability 

  • Shift planning

  • Vendor management 

  • Cost control

  • Team development and training

  • Provide excellent leadership and support to a team of technicians


What do you bring with you:

  • Proven Leadership Skills: experience in supervising teams, motivating staff, and providing performance feedback and development guidance

  • Good technical knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics and basic electricity and understanding of maintenance of GSE equipment

  • Knowledge of compliance standards and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and implement corrective actions

  • fluency in German and English

  • Process-oriented mindset: ability to monitor, audit, and improve departmental processes and procedures, including handling escalated issues and implementing corrective actions

  • Planning and organizational abilities: skilled in resource scheduling, rostering, and communicating goals and progress to both team and management

  • Training and development experience and capability of identifying training needs

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills and proficiency in data management to support decision-making and ensure accurate documentation

  • Project and change management competence: experience in participating in projects, conducting research and analysis, and managing local implementation challenges
