Job Profile Summary
The Flight Training Scheduler builds and maintains the flight training schedule for instructors, check airmen, students, and line pilots in compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR), CBA, AQP, and internal departmental policy and procedure with optimal resource utilization as a primary goal using automated FTS systems.
Essential Functions
Creates and monitors monthly schedules for instructors and check airmen
Schedules and monitors the progress of student pilots through all phases of the flight training curriculum (i.e., classroom, simulator, and line operating experience)
Schedules and monitors the progress of recurrent training
Schedules and monitors the progress of required line checks and any other type of check required by the Company and/or FAA
Monitors the daily operation and manages any irregularities
Schedules and monitors the progress of new instructor training as well as scheduling and monitoring of continuing instructor qualifications
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in aviation or related field.
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years related experience in a flight operations environment including eighteen (18) months of flight training/crew scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of federal aviation regulations required. Knowledge of computerized crew management and flight training systems required.
Knowledge of the operation of a personal computer & its applications required.
Strong organizational and communications skills required.
Job Conditions
