GTS Cage Agent
Description
This is an interview position.
To perform duties relative to the maintenance of a Revenue Canada Customs Sufferance Warehouse Operation and the controlled transfer or release of goods from the warehouse. To monitor and maintain control of package inventory within the customs cage/warehouse and to report and resolve any discrepancies.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Educational Requirements
Post Secondary:
- Canadian High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Professional accreditation/certification:
- Must successfully complete any required DG training
Related Experience Requirements
Minimum number of years required for entry to this job
- FedEx - 6 months preferred
- Global Trade Services - 6 to 12 months preferred
Amount of time required to learn or adjust to the job
- 6 months
Other specific mandatory experience requirements
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs. and manoeuvre any package weighing up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person.
- Occasional driving may be required, as such, a valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
Technical Skill Requirements
Solid knowledge of the following :
- Knowledge of IMS and other systems for reports an asset
- Knowledge of Cos 8 and customs clearance procedures preferred
- Knowledge of FedEx operations preferred
Computer literacy and proficiency :
- Must be able to operate in a PC windows environment and achieve minimum thresholds on testing and training
- Excel (preferred). Basic level.
