GTS Clearance Select Rep
Description
This is an interview position.
Performs technical duties relevant to the processing and release of shipments in accordance with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and other government departments (OGD) regulations and legislations. Provides accurate information and assistance to customers requiring International shipment information. Audits, verifies and adjusts manifested international shipment information in compliance with CBSA regulations and requirements to satisfy admissibility through to customs clearance and release.

Educational Requirements
Post Secondary:
- Community College Diploma/ Equivalent Professional accreditation/certification:
- Certified Canadian Customs Specialist (CCS) designation or CSCB Qualified.
Related Experience RequirementsOther specific mandatory experience requirements
- Certified Canadian Customs Specialist (CCS) designation or CSCB Qualified required. Must achieve annual re-currency points.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person
- In the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (English and French).
Technical Skill Requirements
Solid knowledge of the following:
- Knowledge of FedEx Express operations and international customs documentation and regulations an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of CCII required
- Must have knowledge of Other Government Department (OGD) requirements
- Knowledge of 023 clearance system preferred
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Express International package movement, GTS operating procedures and regulatory requirements
- Thorough knowledge of VISA and COSMOS systems
- Maintain current with all CBSA and OGD regulations.
Computer literacy and proficiency:
- Excel — Basic
- Minimum of 25 wpm on data entry alpha numeric testing preferred
