What you’ll be working on

Are you a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with a passion for return to work and early intervention, looking for an entry level position in workplace injury management? As a Health Wellness and Rehabilitation Coordinator, your skills and empathy will allow you to play a crucial role in supporting our injured team members, ensuring smooth and efficient recovery and return to work while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and procedures. FedEx is a self-insured licensee in the ‘Comcare’ scheme, and this is a key role in our national, passionate Health Rehabilitation and Workers Compensation team.

  • Proactively supporting our team members and driving Early Care, FedEx’s injury management early intervention program.
  • Working with all stakeholders to identify barriers to recovery and return to work and  implementing strategies to address these.
  • Promoting and enabling recovery at work.
  • Maintaining close contact with injured team members, and establishing positive, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed, compliant and organized records, and completing administrative duties associated with Early Care and workers compensation claim
  • Participating in workplace health and wellbeing activities
  • Demonstrating active safety leadership
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Health Wellness and Rehabilitation Team, Workers Compensation, HR, Legal, and Safety, with a focus on securing the best outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience in a similar position involving return to work coordination or injury management
  • Excellent, positive communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Qualifications within a relevant discipline eg allied health are preferred
  • ·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong time-management skills
  • Adaptable and flexible – able to respond quickly to rapidly changing environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software
