Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide support and perform administrative/clerical functions for the Human Resources (HR) department, including but not limited to; recruitment/selection processes, review resumes, questionnaires and applications, applicant tracking system (ATS) processes, hiring process, transfers, data entry, immigration maintenance and job listing process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Review resumes, application and pre-screening questionnaires as part of the screening process

Schedule and conduct pre-screening interviews, evaluate responses using established scripts and guidelines

Screen driver applicants to determine if they meet minimum hiring criteria; contact the applicant by phone to complete the screening process

Responsible for freight handler application initial review and submission to hiring managers

Responsible for setting pay for step progression employees, processing offer letters, drug screen processing, criminal reviews, process hiring paperwork (electronic and hard copies) and complete all internal and external data entry

Monitor I-9 completion, E-Verify processing, regular compliance audits and document findings

Work with hiring manager to determine specific requirements for job postings

Perform all procedures related to the ATS process, e.g., maintenance of job requisitions, coordination of job listing process, submission of applications to hiring managers and facilitation of disposition process

Respond to applicant inquiries and send rejection communications to applicants

Provide follow-up correspondence to hiring managers, applicants/candidates and other FXF partners

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus four (4) years of general clerical experience preferably in Human Resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to, Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures for compliance and regulatory purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to control confidential information
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations related to employment and general human resources practice preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of employees and candidates both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a team, handle multiple assignments, and prioritize workflow with attention to detail and time-sensitive information
