HR Business Partner
The People Operations Partner serves as a strategic consultant to leadership and HR support functions, addressing human resources and organizational issues. Areas of expertise include HR programs, policy interpretation and implementation, employee relations, talent development, compensation and benefits, and recruitment. This role is responsible for executing operational activities that support organizational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner and change champion to build organizational capability and bench strength.
- Coach and mentor employees and managers to improve performance and engagement.
- Lead alignment and development of leadership competencies with individualized enhancement plans.
- Resolve employee relations issues in collaboration with HR Associates and employees.
- Champion HR integration and key initiatives across the organization and new business units.
- Influence strategic change across functions and business units.
- Lead and support the performance review process, including goal deployment, evaluations, and coaching.
- Drive performance development processes such as succession planning, development planning, and talent acquisition for key roles.
- Partner with leaders and corporate resources to address regional compensation needs and develop sound pay practices.
- Coordinate merit increases, promotions, market adjustments, and salary-related actions with senior leaders.
- Coach functions on the launch and implementation of compensation and benefit programs.
- Support strategic staffing needs and recruitment efforts for complex or unique roles.
- Identify organizational gaps and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive HR integration synergies and build on best practices across regions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, high school diploma or GED with 8+ years of HR Generalist or Business Partner experience.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong ability to manage employee relations and coach effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
- Customer service driven and strong team collaborator.
