What you will do:
The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company-wide safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure a safe workplace and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with Operations, planning and Engineering, facilities, sales and leadership teams to identify risks, provide training, and maintain a culture of continuous safety improvement.
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATA, ICAO, ADR etc.,).
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental inspections across facilities and work areas.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; document findings; and implement corrective actions.
- Provide HSE and IATA and ICAO dangerous goods training and awareness sessions to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Monitor and manage safety reporting systems (incident tracking, hazard and dangerous goods reporting etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain safe processes and equipment.
- Ensure proper waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental sustainability practices.
- Maintain records and documentation required for internal and external audits.
- Stay current on industry best practices, changes in HSE and dangerous goods legislation.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- Act as a technical expert on complex specialist subjects to support management and achieve corporate goals.
- Lead or support projects by applying technical expertise and collaborating with internal/external experts.
- Develop and communicate clear, effective reports to key stakeholders, including senior management.
- Maintain expert knowledge of company principles, processes, regulations, and market trends.
- Recommend and implement tools, processes, and improvements to meet business objectives.
- Support or lead cross-functional projects ensuring timely results and post-project reviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company in external forums or as a local corporate contact, if required.
You will be a great fit if you have

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent are preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in logistics, manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE and ICAO dangerous goods regulations and standards.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in HSE management systems and tools
