Human Resources Advisor
Description
Provides professional level human resources support and guidance with an emphasis on employee relations for all employees and support of management within a specific department or geographical area.
Essential Functions
- Provides front line support and guidance to managers in the area of employee relations.
- Performs investigations involving employees in a myriad of areas, makes recommendations for outcomes and maintains constant communication with all parties
- Provide assistance in the form of advice and counsel to staff and management in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers on how to appropriately handle employee complaints.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years of related human resources experience in multiple areas, of which two (2) years must be as a human resources generalist.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA) and how to apply laws to employment issues. Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of effects of behavior and attitudes on others. Excellent organizational, planning, and verbal and written communication skills.
Job Conditions
Some travel is required.
