We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Industrial Engineer.

As an Industrial Engineer within the FOPD team, you will be responsible for delivering future proof technology optimizing the FedEx Pick-up and Delivery operational processes across EU. From the identification of business opportunities up to successfully implementing the new technology capabilities. In addition, you will be the go-to person for any technology support queries from the field to secure operations maximize the value from our technology solutions to stay cost efficient and deliver consistent customer experience.

What you will be doing:

· Performs diverse engineering responsibilities supporting EU wide technology implementations.

· Identifies business opportunities to optimize operational processes through technology.

· Provides technical expertise and ongoing support to cross–functional project teams as required.

· Utilises modelling tools to translate volumes and assumptions into accurate and realistic resource and productivity plans.

· Participates in the development of strategic plans by acting as the subject matter expert for a specific process or technology solutions.

· Communicates new plans to local management ensuring understanding and implementation support.

· Utilises all available sources to keep abreast of new/changing technologies and methodologies in the marketplace related to own area of responsibility.

· Act as a subject matter expert to senior management in P&E.

· Leads and undertakes specific specialised studies to identify technology improvements or optimization opportunities.

· Lead discussions with IT teams to secure new technology capabilities are designed appropriately and meet the customer needs.

· Lead implementations of new technology capabilities across EU.

· Establish business case to justify technology investments.

· Leads and undertakes specific specialised studies.



What do you bring with you:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Industrial Engineering or quantitative discipline;

    · Excellent command of English both written and spoken;

    · Creative thinker with the ability to recognize improvement opportunities;

    · Experience of developing and implementing IT solutions to operational business challenges;

    · Good understanding of the business environment and how strategy is translated into business focused solutions;

    · Experience of defining & developing the engineering elements of a business plan;

    · Able to work effectively with different cultures & nationalities;

    · Experience of presenting scenarios to management;

    · Able to translate technical information and model outputs into user-friendly lay language an format;

    · Experience of utilising relevant software tools (e.g. Excel, Word, MS Project) to translate business needs into computerised simulations;

    · Experience of utilising analytical concept & tools;

    · Able to perform audits of processes and procedures;

    · Good financial awareness;

    · Analytical thinker with a creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving;

    · Result and target oriented, flexible approach towards work and willingness to travel.
