What you will be doing:
Acts as a technical expert on complex and specialist subject(s), mainly operations.
Supports management with the analysis, interpretation and application of complex information, contributing to the achievement of divisional and corporate goals.
Supports or leads projects by applying area of expertise.
Prepare and monitor short term and long range plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles and products at the operations.
Assist in providing technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars and on-the-job training session in such areas as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, cost effectiveness and manpower scheduling.
Monitor productivity, service and cost performance in all areas of operations and assists personnel in implementing required changes.
Maintain communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning and cost justification.
Assiss in studies designed to implement sound, innovative engineering concepts into operations and thus produce benefits for FedEx and our customers.
Produce operational business requirement specifications and contribute to business cases
Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed
Present project development and results to upper management
Preparing functional specifications documents for infrastructure or equipment essential for Operations
Gather inputs and provide feedback to/from multiple stakeholders
What do you bring with you:
University degree, preferably in industrial engineering, business management with logistic focus or similar quantitative disciplines
Strong analytical skills with experience in data science and system architecture
Strong communicator and presenter with working proficiency in English and Turkish
Excellent project management skills; project management certification is a plus
Project management certification (e.g. PMI or PRINCE2) is a plus
Knowledge on: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain or logistics is a plus
At least two years of experience working as operation engineer into manufacturing or services areas, supporting operations areas, positions like Quality Engineer, Operations Engineer, Process Engineer or continuous improvement engineers should cover this experience
Implementation and managing of KPI, such as productivity and efficiency
Developing Procedures and operative manuals
Mapping and analyzing process
Prepare and present reports
Performing cost and benefit analysis
Competency to lead cross-functional project teams, including giving updates to management level
Strong at setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals and track progress
Proficiency with MS Office
Programming (e.g. VBA for Excel, Python, C++, etc.) and data analysis skills (e.g. SQL, MS PowerBI , R) is a plus
Flexibility and willingness to travel
Driving license
