Intern - Analytics
Description
As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.
Essential Functions
- Under close supervision, the successful candidate may assist with the following: project management, project planning, process mapping, data analysis, workflow documentation, learning design and development, engineering support (testing and design), and report automation
- Assist with technology industry research, global business intelligence, and emerging trends analysis.
- Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Degree:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Analytics, Business, or related analytical discipline.
Minimum Experience:
No work experience required.
Preferred Experience:
At least 2 prior internships or 1 year of experience in a similar function. Proficiency with SQL and Python or another programming language. Experience with Power BI or another data visualization tool. Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.
Responsibilities:
- Help with monitoring and reporting on important business KPIs
- Ideate on design improvements and potential experiments
- Extract, transform, and merge data from various sources for analysis
- Use data to gather insights and form recommendations
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to achieve larger goals
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently or as a part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills.
Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals. Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.
Requirement: Availability to work 40 hours/week for a 12-week program, starting June 2nd, 2025.
