Intl Clearance Ops Lead
Description
Job Duties
Ensures the efficient clearance, warehousing, reconciliation and movement of international import and export shipments in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures. Responsible for leading operational activities associated to the processing as well as bonded cargo warehousing in the proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy/completeness of necessary documentation. Assists management with reports, timekeeping, and other assigned administrative duties.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Minimum Experience
Twelve (12) months work experience in International Transportation, Freight Forwarding or Brokerage Industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Customer contact experience preferred. Must type 25 WPM. Knowledge of Cosmos, Kiac, Visa, Famis, Tortes, Ams, Ipbso preferred. Proficient in PC Software Applications to include Word Processing and Spreadsheets preferred. Knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations and procedures preferred. Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrent training. Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
