LB869: Manager Sourcing & Procurement
Description
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies working the category teams and optimizing
procurement processes to drive cost savings and efficiency. This role requires a strong background in procurement, supplier relationship management and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
Implement sourcing strategies working with the global category teams to optimize supplier selection, pricing, and terms. Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and quality of products/services. Evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and cost. Work closely with suppliers to address performance issues, drive continuous improvement, and resolve disputes in a timely manner. Assist global category teams in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions. Streamline and standardize procurement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices, tools, and systems to automate and streamline sourcing, purchasing, and payment processes. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance through strategic sourcing, volume leverage, and alternative supplier solutions working with the global category team. Monitor and analyze spending patterns and trends to identify savings opportunities and drive value for the organization. Assess and mitigate risks related to sourcing and procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, supplier financial stability, and compliance risks. Develop contingency plans to minimize risk exposure. Provide leadership and direction to the procurement team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive team success. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bi-lingual procurement manager fluent in English and Portuguese.
Experience Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certification ( CIPS, CPSM, CSCP) preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong procurement, sourcing & contract management skills with the ability to drive value through effective supplier relationships and partnerships. - Solid understanding of procurement best practices, sourcing methodologies, and supply chain management principles. - Proficiency in procurement software and systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. - Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. - Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve goals and objectives. Experience working in the logistics and Transportation domain in Brazil is preferred.
