Description
To market all FedEx Express services to all Andean and South Cone accounts by organizing staff support and providing in depth account representation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree/Equivalent in Business Administration. MBA preferred. Significant professional experience in sales line management required, including demonstrably successful management experience (e.g., high performance ratings) as well as experience in major sales accounts and in recruiting and building a sales organization and international and domestic transportation business. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is required. Strong human relations, planning, and organizational skills are required. International travel required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensures that sales goals are realistically set, communicated to the team in a timely fashion and attained as required by the business plan.
Develops programs, systems, and procedures to ensure 100% performance to expectations for service. Assists in development and administration of pricing/discount plans to ensure value to the customer while balancing yields and profitability for FedEx Express.
Ensures the productivity of the sales and customer service employees, through the use of proper management techniques.
Identifies potential accounts within market segment, develops and implements sales plans to increase market penetration and coordination of sales activities with other sales groups.
Negotiates multiple year contracts with major customers according to the requirements of business plan. Develops programs, systems, and procedures to ensure performance matches expectations and requirements for service. Ensures all customer automation programs are understood and implemented at all levels of organization and ensures successful placement of such devices.
Supports the development of successful strategies of expanding FedEx operations within the district(s) and ensures coordination and teamwork with all division components, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Customs and Customer Service to develop solutions for customer needs and ensure timely and accurate implementation.
Coaches to improve and maintain total product quality through management, sales, accounting, and planning skills development.
Facilitates improved corporate profitability via expense reduction and yield improvement in all accounts. This is accomplished by measuring account specific performance and directing the sales team to optimize operational handling.
Responsible for successful execution of the sales plan for multiple products.
Principal responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. The incumbent will perform other duties as required.
