Pay: $44.15/HR

Shift: Monday-Friday 5:30am-2:00pm

Location: Calgary, AB

General Summary….

The Lead, Maintenance Technician provides support and scheduling to all Maintenance Technicians, to include, but not limited to, work orders and (PM) preventive maintenance programs, manages maintenance records, schedules routine maintenance by technicians and vendors, and procures materials, services, and parts.

This position will be responsible for…..

  • Assist the supervisor, engineering and maintenance in all activities related to maintenance, prevention, maintenance and documentation of both equipment and systems to minimize downtime.
  • Recommend measures to improve performance and increase efficiency while ensuring compliance of safety rules.
  • Coordinate training and/or trains employees in various tasks.
  • Ensure that FedEx Supply Chain policies and procedures are followed.
  • Perform preventive/predictive maintenance of systems and/or machinery effectively and rigorously.
  • Respond to maintenance calls for operations in the shortest possible time.
  • Identify, study, and diagnose breakdowns, irregularities, and failures.
  • Complete various monitoring and control reports as required.
  • Assist the supervisor in certain activities such as: performance evaluation, evaluation of prior learning, updating documentation.
  • In addition to regular duties as an electromechanics or electrician, coordinate maintenance activities and distribute tasks to maintain an efficient and planned workload according to internal needs.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Three (3) to six (6) years of experience working in an industrial environment.
  • Good knowledge of computer systems including COGEP.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Rigorous and results-oriented; special attention to details.
  • Preferred knowledge of installation and maintenance of automated systems and mobile equipment.
  • Preferred knowledge of the WHMIS (Hazardous Materials Management) program.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical diagram)
