"General Job Description:
Under general supervision completes the following activities:
• To provide current and potential FedEx customers with the ability to compete and grow in the domestic and global environment by using FedEx services to become time based competitors. To demonstrate conclusively that FedEx is the competitive edge that enables the customer to lower costs and increase profits.
• Achieves assigned goals.
• Presents FedEx services to multiple levels within customer organizations and demonstrates their value in helping the customer achieve their departmental and corporate goals.
• Develops and executes a quarterly territory sales plan as well as a time and territory management plan to ensure that maximum time is spent in front of customers. This plan should make use of all available FedEx resources (e.g., Customer Service, Operations, Sales, etc).
• Develops and follows a self-managed program of reading and research that focuses on increasing knowledge of world market trends, geography, worldwide major political and economic events, logistics trends, and time based competition.
• Develops and demonstrates an understanding of quality processes, tools, and techniques on sales calls and district meetings.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all FedEx services and technologies and an equally comprehensive knowledge of our competitors’ services and capabilities.
• Uses all available resources, both external and internal, to generate and pursue sales leads by use of appropriate tools, (e.g., prospecting board, target accounts list, etc).
• Serves as official representatives of FedEx conducting themselves professionally and courteously at all times.
• Develops and uses consultative selling skills to build long term business partnerships.
• Educates customers in the use of all available FedEx resources and assumes ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction via these resources.
• Principal responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. The incumbent will perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent, preferably in Business Administration with major in marketing or finance.

Minimum Experience:
• Two (2) years’ relevant work experience in commercial, industrial, or telephones sales preferred.

• Overnight travel required.
• Fluent in English."

Involves online and telephone contact with external/internal customers within functional area and completing any related administration.
