As a Linehaul Dispatch Agent at FedEx, you will play a key role in achieving the operational goals and service commitments of the hubs by coordinating and balancing work between a team of planners and international drivers to deliver customer satisfaction through on-time departures within our network, at optimized costs. You will work in rotating shifts from Monday 6:00 AM to Saturday 2:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the daily briefing and debriefing process with drivers reporting to your workstation.
- Perform paperwork checks and ensure correct paperwork for departure.
- Report any issues that occurred during the daily operations to management and provide regular reporting on productivity, volumes, and performance.
- Oversee scheduled departures and arrivals and monitor the pre-departure process to ensure there are no delays.
- Identify and report bottlenecks on the work floor, resolve them or escalate them as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, particularly drivers and operational departments.
- Experience in a busy transportation and/or freight forwarding environment is a plus.
- Excellent language skills (Dutch and English required, other European languages are considered an asset).
- Good geographic knowledge.
- Good Microsoft Office & PC skills.
- Focused on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Driven to solve problems using planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage your own time and that of the team with attention to detail in a busy, dynamic environment.
What We Offer:
- A starting salary between €2,800 and €3,800 gross per month depending on knowledge and experience (FedEx Express Scale 6)
